Drew Cavanaugh - San Francisco Giant
After years of hard work and sacrifice, Drew Cavanaugh will take the field today as a big league baseball player. Since 1871, fewer than 24,000 men in the history of the world can call themselves big-league baseball players. Today, Drew becomes one.
Age 14 - Drew left his home and missed his summer to play in Cincinnati.
Age 15-Age 17 - Drew left home in the summer to play in Florida.
Age 17-Age 18 - Drew left Michigan and all his friends and family to play his senior year at the IMG Academy in Florida.
Age 18-Age 21 - Drew lived in Florida, attending college and playing baseball in the summer.
Since Fall of 2019 (Age 17), Drew has not spent longer than 2 weeks at home.
The sacrifices made by Tom, Julie, Tommy and Brock helped make this happen and today they will all be at Oracle Park in San Francisco to celebrate together as a family.
