Coach Avery played Division II collegiate baseball for Wayne State University for four years, finishing his degree in Mechanical Engineering and earned an opportunity to be signed by the Detroit Tigers in 1993 as a professional baseball player. His minor league career spanned three years, ultimately closing due to injury.

 

In 1997, Mark Avery started his coaching career, opening the Avery’s All-star Baseball Camps. Since then, he served as Oakland University’s Head Coach from 1999-2006, in which the organization 35 professional players.

 

In the twenty-nine years of camp, Mark Avery and his staff have always stayed true to the vision of developing campers to the best of their abilities, and as such have assisted many campers in reaching collegiate and professional baseball.  *We hope to give you a chance at the next level!*
